I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment with my cat. Lisa had pooped in the carrier and was sitting in it. Rather than make me wait and cause Lisa to sit in the poop, the staff found a room for me so I could take the waste out of the carrier. Comments may be shared with staff. BUT, do not disclose on any public forum/social media.

Very helpful that the vet immediately suggested a test that two other vets had not suggested.

The vet tech could have told me how Dixie done. She just handed her to me and walked away before I had time to ask. Next time, be more personable and friendly.

Have been bringing pets here for years, and have always been happy, and both us and our pets have always been treated with respect.

We are very happy being clients at Harrisonburg Animal Hospital. Our dogs get good care, and all the staff are friendly and knowledgable.

Everything was great the only complaint I have is I really wanted the dr to wrap my cats neck after surgery we have been fighting for almost 8 months to get my cats neck to heal and we normally have her neck wrapped due to her scratching it. It was probably a week maybe two from being compliantly healed and the dr did not want to wrap it because it looked good. I didn’t want to wrap her neck when we got home due to not wanting to have to hold her I’m place after surgery. Long story short she went and scratched it open again and now we are back to square one. Another few months probably of fighting to get this thing healed and keeping her from scratching. I will say I 100% understand the decision because it did look really good but as the person parent living with this cat everyday I know the cats behaviors. Everything else was perfect they texted after surgery that she was awake and doing well. That’s was probably the number 1 thing in book instead of having to worry and be waiting for a call that something went wrong. My cat also ate by mistake before surgery and they gave her medicine that didn’t cost an arm and a leg so I appreciated that too. I would definitely bring my other pets in to be fixed at this clinic.

I appreciated both the assistant and the veterinarian. Both were very attentive, patient, helpful and treated my pet with care. As a new patient, it took two weeks to get in, which felt like a long time. I don’t know what it’s like for established patients.

As always, this was a stellar experience all around - from the office queens to Le Ann & Dr. Nelson. We absolutely adore all of you and recommend HAH any chance we get. Our pets and us are SO fortunate to be able to rely on all of you from the easy things to the hardest of all moments. Everyone there cares for our babies like they were their own and they go above and beyond to better their lives (and thereby ours). Everyone was very friendly and I appreciate being so welcomed as a new client.

Paying $375 to shave my cat is a bit steep. I know it requires putting him under but the lab fee being $130 makes it difficult to justify doing. Lynn is amazing and was very reassuring and also did an excellent job. The cost is significant though. Only giving this feedback since you guys asked. We may be looking at whatever other options we can find.

I appreciated Dr Lockett-Nelson being thorough with her explanation of my cat Ashley’s problem and what we should proceed to do for her. I also liked how she was certain of her diagnosis but still consulted with a specialist on the X-ray. I also appreciated that while the cat was sedated for X-ray that she remembered to look at her teeth confirming a suspicious area. My cats always get the best care here! Thank you!
