As a new elder adoption, we are learning how Lila behaves around other dogs. Having the room ready and foyer empty of other pets was helpful and stress reducing. That staff recognized us from our previous pet, Chloe, was a nice touch and an indication of caring about both pets and owners.

I believe there was some miscommunication. I called and scheduled an appointment with someone for a Friday and the receptionist mentioned that I should be seen sooner because of the medical condition my dog was in. So I called back the next day to reschedule for a same-day appointment, knowing there were open slots I could take (this was told to me by the receptionist). However the person I spoke to on the second day told me that normally she couldn t give me an earlier time since they schedule by triage. Never heard this before. She went ahead and scheduled me, but the conversation was confusing and a little off-putting especially since I had been told that I should be seen sooner than when I had originally scheduled an appointment. While in the clinic, my dog needed a sedative so we could get a good x-ray image. I agreed to that. However, I was not told of the side effects such as excessive drooling. I assumed it was a tranquilizer and would just make my dog a little sleepy, not practically catatonic and a faucet at the mouth. This scared me when I saw it happening but had I known this was a possibility, I would ve been ok. This was not discussed. When I called and asked if the excessive drooling was normal, I was told that the antibiotic that my dog was given probably tasted bitter and that s why he was drooling. I had to then confirm that my dog had or had not been already given an antibiotic at the clinic without my knowledge. The staff on the phones could benefit with some active listening and if there is an answer they don t know, please go find out. The run-around on answers is problematic. Thank you
